There is currently an urgent shortage of blood in the Twin Ports area community.  People of all ages can need blood for various reasons.  It's needed for accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer.  It's been said that every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.  Various businesses and organizations have been hosting blood drives and there is another one coming up on Friday, November 13th.

From 9:30AM-4:00PM, Memorial Blood Centers has teamed up with the College of St. Scholastica Rugby Team and will be accepting donations.  It doesn't take long to donate and you will be potentially saving lives, so helping out the community.

They have set a goal of over 60 people donating to help the cause and if you are able to help out, you'll receive a free t-shirt for participating.  It will take place at 1200 Kenwood Avenue, just outside of the Mitchell Auditorium on campus.

You'll need to register in advance to participate and you can do that and see available donation time slots online HERE.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding donating, or if it's your first time and are curios, you can contact Greg White at 218-428-4734.  Social distancing measures will be in place to help keep everyone as safe as possible, and make sure you bring your mask.
