The Cloquet Police Department reached out to Northland residents Tuesday to help them locate a 12 year-old boy who ran away from his home in Cloquet.

At the time, they noted that while there are no known extenuating circumstances, his age, the winter weather, and his lack of appropriate clothing are a big concern. They believe he only brought two backpacks containing personal items with him when he left.

On Wednesday, Cloquet Police provided good news regarding young Ian. He has been "safely located", which is a big relief for his family and the community.
