City of Duluth Golf Courses Closing for the Season
Thank you to all that purchased a Northland Golf Trail Card this year! We sincerely hope you had a great season and lots of fun while saving scads of cash!!!! As you are packing away the golf clubs and getting decorations out for the holidays, local golf courses are winterizing the greens and fairways looking forward to an early Spring golf season.
According to a City of Duluth press release, the golf courses managed by the City are closed as of this week. Lester Park Golf Course closed last Sunday, October 27. October 30 was the last day to get a round in at the Enger Golf Course.
The City would like to thank everyone who helped make this a great golf season by attending Lester and Enger events and participating in their golf program. The weather strained the start of the season but the summer and fall were great .
I had the pleasure of volunteering for the Swain Cross Country Meet that is run on the Enger Park Golf Course (this year with rain and 50mph winds). The Enger staff was wonderful to work with and I want to extend a personal thank you for all you do to make the coaches, bus drivers, athletes and their families welcome!
Here's to a short and safe winter so we're back on the greens again. Although, you can look for me in the woods, still searching for my ball!
Play this computer mini golf game to keep you putting skills up to par for next year. Warning: Addicting!
