Carly Pearce Shares the ‘Egg-Cellent’ News of Her CMA Nod With Adorable Post
On Wednesday (Aug. 28), the Country Music Association officially announced their list of nominees for the 2019 CMA Awards, and among the candidates for the New Artist of the Year Award is one very excited country star: Carly Pearce. With help from her fiancé, fellow country star Michael Ray, Pearce offered fans an adorable glimpse into just how over the moon she was about her nomination on Instagram. Press play above to watch!
"In the middle of cooking eggs when he looks at me says, 'Congrats New Artist nominee,'" Pearce writes in all-caps, below a video of herself celebrating at home in her kitchen. "Y'all. I am FLIPPING OUT -- I have dreamt of being nominated for this for years and truly can't believe this. #cmaawards HERE WE COME!!!!! (I definitely burned the eggs)."
Despite the loss of her eggs, Pearce was all smiles on Wednesday as she celebrated her nomination. The New Artist of the Year category also includes Cody Johnson, Midland, Ashley McBryde and Morgan Wallen.
In addition to celebrating her CMA nominee status, Pearce has lots of exciting plans for the next few months. She and Ray are finishing up wedding planning for their Fall 2019 nuptials, after announcing their engagement in December of 2018. Pearce is also readying a new album. During a performance at the Grand Ole Opry, she debuted a new song called "It Won't Always Be Like This" in the summer of 2019.
The 2019 CMA Awards are set for Nov. 13 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena; the ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC beginning at 8PM ET. Carrie Underwood is returning to co-host the event for the 12th consecutive year, with Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton as her guest co-hosts.
The 2019 CMA Awards will find the CMA celebrating country music's legendary female figures, according to a press release, but details as to those plans have yet to be revealed. Performers, presenters and other details of the big night are also still to be announced.
