Who Will Win? Predictions For The 2025 CMA Awards
It is officially CMA Awards day! While there are a handful of country music award shows, this truly is country music's biggest night - and like the Super Bowl for country music fans.
I have watched the awards since I was a little kid and it's crazy to see how country music has changed over the years. This year, it really could be anyone's night. It seems like so many country stars had equally big years.

Every year, Ken and I have a tradition of making our picks before the show and then the loser has to buy the other iced coffee. We made our bets this morning and if you missed them, you're in luck!
Keep reading on to see who I picked for each category. I am really only confident in a few so this will be interesting for sure!
Early CMA Award Winners Announced Ahead Of The Show
It should be noted that they usually announce two awards ahead of time, early in the morning on the day of the show! Today was no different, with the CMAs sharing the winner of Musical Event Of The Year and Music Video Of the Year.

Post Malone and Blake Shelton are CMA winners for their hit Pour Me A Drink, taking home the award for Musical Event Of The Year. Ella Langley and Riley Green won for Music Video Of The Year for You Look Like You Love Me. (I got both categories wrong!)
My Predictions For The 2025 CMA Awards - Country's Biggest Night!
These predictions are not who I would choose in every instance but rather who I think will win! I also want to hear about your predictions so shoot me a message on our B105 app or go weigh in on our Facebook page.

Let's dive in! Here are my official predictions for 2025 for all the top categories at the CMA Awards.
Male Vocalist Of The Year: Chris Stapleton (up against Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Zach Top and Morgan Wallen). If there's anything I've learned in the past decade, it's that you shouldn't bet against Chris Stapleton.
Female Vocalist Of The Year: Lainey Wilson (up against Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley and Megan Moroney). I would love for any of these ladies to win and it's always fun when a newer artist wins but that's rare and I think Lainey is the new favorite in this category - plus she's hosting and in the Entertainer category.
Vocal Group Of The Year: Old Dominion (up against Lady A, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts and The Red Clay Strays). They always win it - seven years in a row and counting! and even hold the record in the category for the most wins.
Vocal Duo Of The Year: Brooks & Dunn (up against Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay, Maddie & Tae and The War And Treaty). They are icons and no vocal duo is having a crazy big year.
New Artist Of The Year: Ella Langley is my choice here to win but I wouldn't be surprised if Zach Top took it! They've both had amazing years with multiple nominations. (Up against Shaboozey, Tucker Wetmore and Stephen Wilson Jr.)
Single Of The Year: Ella Langley & Riley Green for You Look Like You Love Me is my pick! (This award goes to the song with the best production and is up against 4X4XU, Ain't No Love In Oklahoma, I Never Lie and Am I Okay?) It was unlike any other song on the radio at the time and worth of a win.
Song Of The Year: Zach Top for I Never Lie is my pick! (This award goes to the song with the best lyrics and is up against 4X4XU, You Look Like You Love Me, Am I Okay? and Texas) Ella and Riley are right on his tail, in my opinion.
Album Of The Year: This is tough and I want to say Megan Moroney because that was my favorite album of the year but I am going with Zach Top for Cold Beer & Country Music. (Up against Whirlwind, I'm The Problem and F-1 Trillion)
Entertainer Of The Year: Lainey Wilson (up against Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen and Chris Stapleton). Everyone is worthy and Luke Combs is my favorite artist in the category. Morgan may have made them mad by not showing up when he won last year. My bet is on Lainey since she's hosting and hustling!
Now I am second guessing absolutely everything and all my predictions! I always love when surprises happen and would love to see the CMAs spread love throughout all the categories rather than have one person sweep.
We will see! Tune into the Breakfast Club on Thursday morning (November 20th) for a recap of the show, our reactions and more. Don't miss the CMA Awards tonight on ABC starting at 8/7 central.
