Regina Lyalls talked this morning about the Bike MS: C.H. Robinson MS 150 Ride 2013 in Proctor. Regina was diagnosed a couple of years ago with MS on the day of one of the rides, so this has become personal as well as taking on a new meaning for finding a cure.

You're invited to sign up and can do so the day of the event. Tomorrow June 8th. Even though some people are gung ho and bike many miles, if you are just starting out you can bike what you feel is good for you, meaning a mile or two or ten.

The main thing is showing up and supporting and awareness of the event and MS. Your support helps the National MS Society fund cutting-edge research and support programs and services for more than 17,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in the Upper Midwest Chapter area.

According to Regina, movement and balance is something many of us take for granted, but for people living with MS, movement isn’t a guarantee. She has been helped with research and medication. She encourages you to take part in the MS bike on Saturday.

Details: 6 am start to arrive and sign up, in Proctor Saturday June 8th. The MS 150 starts at Proctor High School on Saturday morning, overnights at Grand Casino Hinckley and finishes at Century College in White Bear Lake Sunday.
