Bud Light Lime -A- Rita Product Review

I was at the Shack Liquor Store on my remote broadcast last Friday and something new caught my eye.  It's called Bud Light Lime-A-Rita.  It's basically a margarita in a can.  It's a malt beverage designed to taste like a margarita.  Could this possibly be the economic way to drink several margaritas?My answer is Yes!  I like it, and usually I only want to drink a couple of margaritas at a time, and man they can be a pain in the ass to make.  But with Lime-A-Rita, just pour it over ice.

Don't be fooled, however, because Bud Light Lime-A-Rita doesn't have tequila or even beer in it.  It's a malt beverage.  But it packs a punch with 8% alcohol by volume.  Most beers are between 3-4%, and most margaritas are somewhere between 5%-and lose your pants% by volume.

You don't taste the alcohol, either.  It goes down smooth and isn't as sweet as your traditional margarita.  One thing to note:  for an 8 oz can, there's 220 calories.  Yeah, just like the real margaritas, they're loaded with sugar.

I'd recommend trying a can of Bud Light Lime-A-Rita.  And trust me, they're not paying me to say this.  However if Budweiser would like me to be a spokesperson, I'm always available.
