Brad Paisley Helps ‘Sesame Street’ Fight Childhood Hunger [VIDEO]
Brad Paisley visited more than 30 cities on his 2011 world tour and he’s gearing up to hit the road next year for a string of dates with Scotty McCreery, but he couldn’t say no when he was recently asked to do an extra bit of traveling – to Sesame Street.
He and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams Paisley, appeared as part of an upcoming prime time special dedicated to helping fight childhood hunger.
In the program, longtime ‘Sesame Street’ resident Elmo meets a new friend named Lily, and discovers that not everyone’s family is as fortunate as his. “Sometimes I go with my family to the food pantry,” Lily admits in a clip from the show, saddening Elmo, who realizes, “Elmo never even has to think about where his next meal is coming from.”
Paisley contributed music to the special, which airs October 9, and attempts to educate viewers about the plight of the estimated 16 million American children who live in “food insecure” households.
