Black River Revue started with a bunch of friends and soon became a family. That's according to Adam, their singer and guitar player.

The band is on hiatus for the time being, but it started in 2010. In 2012 is when they became the foursome you know today.

Adam says he started listening to AC/DC, the Eagles, and Bob Dylan, in fact, he wanted to be Bob Dylan. Adam got his inspiration from Charlie Parr, Trampled By Turtles, and Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank. They were all local but they put the thought in Adam's head that he could do this music thing too.

Adam got his first instrument and it was in rough shape and got it when he was 15 and said he was the third owner of it. He played sax for 2 weeks, said it doesn't count but I say it does.

His best music story was a few. He once left his guitar in North Dakota and had to call his buddies in another band who were playing there to get it. He said it was a band highlight to play First Avenue in Minneapolis. He said they played a gig at Big Top Chautauqua and his buddy had his pants down during the set. He said he has more but can't tell them in a family setting.

The band is:

Adam Stariha-Guitar/Harmonica/Vocals
Ian Kvale- Bass/Vocals
Nate Hynum-Mandolin/Vocals
Tim Leutgeb-Banjo

Adam says the band can't get together, but he has been playing some facebook live shows and trying to stay out there.

The Band has just-released "Gitchi Tracks" which is available everywhere but you can hear a little on their website below.
