Classic car lovers need to be at Benna Ford Roush in Superior on Wednesday, July 15, for their annual Purple Heart Auction.

Bruce La Valley from Superior, donated a sweet 1976 Chevy Laguna S-3.  Benna Ford then partnered with Lake Superior College Auto Body Service to have it reconditioned.

 

The class completed both mechanical and auto body work, which included:

  • Full disassembly
  • Full repaint
  • Carpet Dying
  • Rim cleanup
  • Two-tone and pinstriping
  • Weatherstripping cleanup

A total of almost $15,000 worth of work was completed during the reconditioning process and, as you can see from the photos above and below, the car looks fantastic.

While online bidding has already begun, the live portion of the auction of the will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Benna Ford Roush, located at 3022 Tower Avenue in Superior.

All proceeds will go to The Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 56, (Combat Wounded Veterans), out of Duluth, Minnesota.  Members of the local chapter will be at Benna Ford Roush for the auction.

Our members have all answered our Country’s call. Now as Combat Wounded veterans, we proudly continue to serve our country by helping America’s active duty, veterans, her families and those who have borne the burden of battle.
