A busy stretch of Belknap Street will close for 6 days, beginning June 24th.  The section is from Catlin Avenue to Hill Avenue, although Catlin Avenue Intersection will still allow traffic to cross Belknap.  The closure is to allow work crews to install water mains and sewer lines.

Side roads will be closed at the alleys, but Catlin Avenue will remain open.   Hill Avenue will remain open until June 28th, but at that point traffic should utilize Elm Avenue.  If there is to be any water disruption, a three day notice will be given.

Belknap Businesses will remain open via alternate routes.  Some of these businesses are even offering "construction discounts" or coupons to customers.

As for the upcoming holiday, there will be no work being done from Noon on Friday June 30th, to July 5th at 6am.
