This is great news.

The family of 5-year-old Landen, the boy thrown from a balcony at the Mall Of America, is offering an update on his status.

The family posted an update on Landen's official GoFundMe page late Thursday night (August 1st). Here's what they had to say:

Hello everyone! Some great positive news to be able to share with you from Landen's family:

The Lord is good, and we are thankful. We are happy to report that our son is no longer in intensive care and has been moved to an inpatient, physical rehab program at another hospital to help him continue to heal and focus on the next phase of his recovery.
There is hard work ahead! And, our beautiful boy has endured much already, but he is strong and his spirit remains vibrant. We continue to be eternally grateful for every prayer, every act of kindness and the love this world has show us throughout this journey. Thank You.

In mid-April of this year, the young boy (whose last name has not been released) was thrown off of the third floor balcony at Mall of America.

Since the horrific incident, his progress has been up and down, with the last update from the family in June saying things weren't going as well as they'd hoped. That makes this news even more welcome.

The man who threw Landen off the balcony has been sentenced to 19 years in prison.

People are still donating to his GoFundMe page, which has raised well over the million dollars since it was first started earlier this year.

I could not be happier to see Landen doing better. Let's all keep him in our thoughts and hope for a full recovery soon.
