If you've been to a candy or even a toy store, you've likely seen some gross things that you can buy that obviously have insects in them. I was with my kids at a cool toy store in Minnesota and the checkout counter they had suckers with various insects in them and even chocolate-covered crickets.

Gross? Absolutely! Did I buy that stuff? Absolutely! The kids proudly accepted the challenge of eating insects encased in candy, while I chickened out.

While the insects were clearly in that candy, what if I told you that we may all be eating insects regularly? As nasty as that sounds, it's true because a lot of the food people eat regularly is allowed by the FDA to contain a certain amount of the little critters.
