The accolades just keep rolling in for Duluth native Jordan Schmidt.

In case you didn't know, the hit songwriter comes from the Northland and has since made a name for himself in Nashville. He has written some of the biggest hits in country music over the last few years for everyone from Jason Aldean to Granger Smith.

His latest hit is none other than number one tune God's Country, which is sung by Blake Shelton, of course. He penned the song with Devin Dawson and Hardy.

The song was just nominated for Best Country Solo Performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards. The Grammy doesn't go to the songwriters but instead, goes to the artist who performed it. However, the nomination is still a huge ode to the song's writers.

The song not only hit number one on the country charts but it also became a huge career moment for the country star. On top of that, it has gone platinum, scored multiple CMA Award nominations and even took home a major prize at the 2019 show - Single Of The Year.

Blake even credits the song for reinvigorating his career, which he thought was over before he cut the tune.

I can't wait to see what Jordan writes next!
