Watch Bald Eagle Go After Mariners Pitcher at Twins Home Opener [VIDEO]
It was an interesting start to the 2018 Twins Season last night at Target Field. During the opening ceremonies, a trained bald eagle that was a part of the event made a detour and perched himself on Seattle Mariners pitcher James Paxton.
Luckily, Paxton remained calm. That would have been a bad look if Paxton had tried to swat away our national sign of freedom. The eagle's name is Challenger (named after the shuttle crew.) He's from the American Eagle Foundation and is an non-releasable raptor.
The Twins went on to win their home opening game 4-2.
