I talked a little bit about this on The New Breakfast Club with Ken & Lauren earlier this week but in case you missed it - I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Memphis last weekend to learn more about St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and their efforts.

B105 is a huge supporter of the hospital, along with so many other country stations across the country! I got to meet so many people from the radio industry. All of them came from across the United States and I am certain there is no better cause to bond over than this one.

Over the course of the few days I was there, I also happened to run into a bunch of country stars. The country music world, including tons of artists, are also big supporters of St. Jude and were in Tennessee for the cause, too. (If you follow any of them on social media, you probably noticed many of them wearing a gray shirt that says "This Shirt Saves Lives" - this shirt is in support of St. Jude.)

My very first night there, while out and about, I ran into Cam. She was as sweet as can be and I didn't recognize her at first. I had to take a photo with her because she's been one of my favorite artists for a long time. I love her album and I told her so! She made me prove that I did indeed have it, all in good fun of course, and I was happy to show her the download on my phone. Thankfully, she didn't ask me to sing when I told her I could recite it backwards and forwards. She said she was going to come to Duluth for a show. Fingers crossed!

I also ran into Trent Harmon. His first single "There's A Girl" is one of my favorite songs ever so I knew when I spotted him, I had to get a picture. He was very humble and kind and we are twinning in this photo which makes it even better.

It's no secret I absolutely love country music and the artists that sing it so to get to be surrounded by them all weekend was amazing. To have the chance to speak to a few was incredible, too. These encounters were just the cherry on top of a life-changing weekend and I can't wait to support St. Jude for years to come!
