The Minnesota Wild Adopted A Puppy They Named Breezer

The Minnesota Wild announced that they have adopted a team puppy named Breezer. He is a 12 week old Labrador Retriever who is signed on for a 1 year contract. Breezer was adopted from Coco's Heart Dog Rescue located in Hudson Wisconsin.

As cool as being a part of the Minnesota Wild Hockey team could be Breezer actually has bigger plans in mind, he is going to be trained as service dog. According to KARE11 Wild President Matt Majka and his wife Kym will foster Breezer for the next year and help him with his obedience training. After that Breezer will continue training with Soldier's 6 a Minnesota Non-profit organization that matches  "honorably discharged veterans, police officers, and fire fighters with specially trained K-9's." Eventually Breezer will be placed with a veteran with PTSD as a " Battle Buddy."

Matt Majka said "We are extremely ecstatic to have Breezer join the Wild organization. The work Coco's Heart Dog Rescue and Soldier's 6 do is truly amazing, and we couldn't imagine a better way to give back to the community than to have a part in helping Breezer find a home with a deserving individual." 

If you would like to meet Breezer in person he will be making his first public appearance at the Minnesota State Fair at the Minnesota Wild tent on August 26 from 2 to 3 p.m., August 28 from 10 to 11 a.m., and August 30 from 10 to 11 a.m.  He will also be attending most Wild games too.
