Pound Puppies are back and they are as cute as ever. These plush reproductions look and feel exactly how you might remember as a kid. According to WGN each puppy comes with an adoption certificate, a name tag and a sticker. They also come with instructions for kids to learn how to care for their puppy.

According to Wikipedia "Pound Puppies was a popular toy line sold by Tonka in the 1980s. It later inspired an animated TV special, two animated TV series, and a feature film. Shipments of the toys over five years generated sales of $300 million in 35 countries." This popular toy changed company hands many times over through the years, but the look and concept of the puppies was always the same.

I had 2 of them in the 80's even though I was not a little kid, I loved them because I could not have a dog. Believe me when I have days now when I come home from work and find a little surprise on the carpet, I wish for one second that these were toy Pound Puppies. Just kidding, I love my dogs more than anything in the world. But I am ecstatic to see that these adorable puppies are back for a new generation of kids to learn to be kind to animals and the life lesson of "Adopt Don't Shop!"

There are six different puppies in the collection and they are 17 inches long. You can find the puppies on Amazon or at Walmart for around $19.99 each.
