Take A Look At What Lies Beneath The Surface of an old Iron Range Mine Pit [VIDEO]
Growing up on the Iron Range, I was surrounded by abandoned old iron ore pits. These craters left in the earth by mining companies filled up with clear ground water. They are almost a crystal-blue to greenish water that is just beautiful, in my opinion. Thanks to a GoPro and some scuba divers, we get to see what lies underneath.
One of my favorite bloggers, MinnesotaBrown posted this, and I just had to share it as well. It really is fantastic to see what the Tioga Pit looks like underneath. And it goes FAR deeper than these scuba divers went. These pits go HUNDREDS of feet deep. It's amazing. Check it out. And thanks to Curtis Lahr for capturing this footage!
