Duluth woke up to the aftermath of one of the most powerful wind storms the region had seen. Trees were down across the region and power was out for days. Here's a look back at the damage.
It's been a week since devastating storms swept through the Northland. While tremendous strides have been made restoring power to those who lost it, crews are still faced with plenty of challenges to get everyone back on the grid. Wednesday, Lake Country Power provided an update for their area, as well as a video of what their crews are facing.
The Northland continues to recover from the heavy storms that hit overnight. This includes Minnesota state parks such as Itasca State Park, which also suffered downed trees and power loss. If you have camping plans going into the weekend, make sure to check conditions.
The storm that ripped through the Northland early Thursday morning not only destroyed trees, knocked out power and caused damage, but now there are storm-related fatalities being reported in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
We've had some pretty rough weather so far this summer, causing damage to property and to trees.
