Today is Love Your Pet Day, and this big beautiful stray chocolate lab is finally safe and sound indoors thanks to an incredible group of women who did not give up on her.

A few friends got stuck on Fish Lake over the weekend while taking advantage of the sunshine. It all went down on a giant, mythical raft.

A bizarre story comes from New York, where a bus driver was able to save the life of a 7 year old girl who fell from a 3 story window.  She was dancing and jumping on a window air conditioning unit when she inevitably fell.  The bus driver was able to catch her.  Sources say she was a child with special needs.

Every Wednesday at 8:10 we call up Sara at Animal Allies to discuss what's going on at the shelters.  Of course we talked about the upcoming walk for animals, and we also were introduced to Holly, a Plott Hound mix at the Superior Shelter.
