The Northern Lights really put on a show across the Northland Wednesday night and the Cloquet Police Department shared their experience.

Our youth today has no idea how lucky they are to be able to take pictures on their phones and share them on social media immediately.  When I was young we had to send our film through the mail to be developed.  Do you remember the photo mailer in the picture above?  Yes, Holiday Gas Station use to deal with developing film!

Beginning today, November 1, 2016, if you're planning on getting a passport, or a U.S. visa, plan on taking off your glasses for the photo as there is a new policy in effect.

Long before "digital photography" we didn't have the choice of having a family member or friend take our grad photos.  You went to a professional photographer and your choices of backgrounds were limited.  I think most of us had an indoor head shot, a picture leaning into a tree with a leg up, a picture laying on the ground peeking around a tree and if you got your picture taken at Dean'

Kids, families and even dogs are invited to get their picture taken with Santa at the Fitger's Complex.  Donations benefit the Northern Lights Foundation and other non-profit organizations.  It's FREE to military families and pets are more than welcome! (especially when I'm there volunteering!)

As I was reading about the ability to take great butt shots with a Belfie stick (who does that? Not Me!). I started to ponder, what do we all have that is near and dear to us and would want to share? OUR DOGS! Introducing the Delfie!

It's that time of the year once again, time to get back into that school routine.  As I look through Facebook and other social media, I see a lot of back to school pictures and they're all fun to see.  I thought, how cool would it be to share your back to school pictures, with everyone, on our website?

I sympathize with all of you who sent me your "summer bummer" pics and I appreciate that you took the time to share, THANK YOU!  I thought I'd ask for one more share, you ready for this?  This time I want to see pictures that will give me a glimpse of what you did during the busy summer months, what's your favorite memory?
