The Minnesota State High School League shared an update on the status of the girls state hockey and gymnastics tournaments as a winter storm looks to hit during the events.

The board has approved some dates for spring tournaments. They also have asked the state to adjust face mask requirements.

Everyone did the best they could with a hockey season during the COVID-19 pandemic. And, many teams almost made it to the end, only to get hit hard from COVID-19 when it mattered the most.

State tournaments for winter sports are going to look a little different this year, but there is a plan to place to still have them.

MSHSL has shared guidance for the amount of spectators allowed at indoor activities. They also will require advanced ticketing or reservations for spectators.
