Well, I'm hooked again.  Darn it smartphone!  You may have seen the ads on TV for Boom Beach?  What's it like?  Pretty awesome!

I remember when the only thing to worry about on Halloween was whether your bag was big enough to carry all your candy and be careful not to trip on your costume when running through the yards in your mother's high heels.  Times have changed and prompted technology to get involved to keep your family safe and it's free until Halloween.

Until the flood of June 2012 I wouldn't think I needed this app on my mobile phone.  Now, I'm grateful to the American Red Cross for thinking ahead to provide the app and potentially save lives and minimize loss.  It's free and you'll have instant access to local and real-time information.  Download the app now!

The Duluth Police Department had started a new program that was designed to help citizens fight crime.  It was a free mobile application that allowed citizens to report crimes and suspicious activity.  If you downloaded the app, you can remove it, it's been discontinued.

The best and worst aspect of email and instant messaging is that they make it easy to blow people off and give you at least a glimmer of hope that your recipient hasn’t seen your unreturned messages. Now Facebook wants to zap all the uncertainty away, updating the Facebook Messenger app so message-senders will be able to tell that recipients have seen messages.
