If you are a fan of Brighton Beach in Duluth you better make plans to hang out there this weekend, the city is closing it down next week.

After a couple of years of reinforcement and reconstruction after a series of storms battered and damaged the Lake Superior shoreline, the Duluth Lakewalk is set to reopen.

Sometimes a little gesture can go a long way for someone.

The City of Duluth has announced they are closing the Lighthouse parking lot in Canal Park to prepare for the third phase of the Lakewalk reconstruction project.

If you're looking to stroll the Lakewalk in Duluth this week, be advised that a portion of the Lakewalk will be closed through this Friday, January 31.

Heads up! This will result in the closure of a section of the Lakewalk for a couple months this summer.

If you're planning on hitting the Lakewalk during daytime hours this week, be aware that a significant portion will be closed in order to advance the repair project.

The Greater Downtown Council has once again partnered with the Duluth YMCA for another Sidewalk Shuffle.
