The speeding problem in Minnesota has not stopped and the MN State Patrol has had enough. Speeding tickets aren't cheap and can stay with you for awhile.
As a truck owner, I always drive with my tailgate up. However, I've known people who would drive with it down claiming it gave them better gas mileage. I'm not sure if that's true, but I now know that it's against the law.
I think everyone knows that when you see a school bus stopped with lights flashing, you stop. No matter how long it takes or how busy you are, you stop every single time to protect the lives of the kids getting off or on the bus. That's why I was shocked to read how many people are cited by law enforcement for failing to stop.
When I heard that WI Governor Scott Walker had just made it a law that driver's in that state are now required to have their headlights on when weather conditions limit visibility I was surprised. I would have thought that was a law that would have been in affect for a long time.
Happy Halloween! It's always MORE fun when the holiday falls on a Saturday, it means more "celebration" time. Don't let excess partying be the memory that haunts you for years to come.
I was asked to vote on Facebook. Wait, what? Proctor Schools or Lakeview Christian Academy could win a contest that would bring The Band Perry to the Northland or net them $100,000!! Why wouldn't you do something as simple as cast your vote once a day until the contest ends? You don't have to attend either school or even live in the city to help with a vote.
