I was working at Grizzley's in Canal Park for the B105 pre show party before the Chris Young Concert having fun. I love doing those because I talk to people and hear special stories about why they love a song, or  artist, or our radio station or jocks. One girl in particular had a really good story and it won me over.

Breanne Marie played on last year's St Jude Radiothon, just starting her first album, finishing up writing and performing a song on a movie soundtrack, looking to play more and get her name out. This year was different.

This week in my 'Country Throwback', I want to play one of the best voices in any genre of music.  Trisha Yearwood can sing it all from country to blues to jazz to pop and in this song she sings about a city in Minnesota.

John Anderson has one of those voices you instantly recognize when you hear it.  It a world where a lot of artists sound alike, that's a great thing to have.  While he has a lot of great songs under his belt, I think this one is perfect for his delivery.

If you watched the ACM's last night then you saw Jason Aldean take a huge risk.  He performed his newly released single "Dirt Road Anthem".  The song features a type of country rap in several parts of the song.  Jason Aldean told Blair Gardner last night on B105 that he was confident in the song because it has been a huge hit with audiences during his live performances.  Is country music

Lady Gaga may have arrived in an egg (?!), but country was very well represented at this years Grammy's thanks in large part to a dominating night for Lady Antebellum.
