Living in the Northland is never boring.

I heard today was national Audubon day. What the heck does that mean anyway? What's an Audubon? How do we celebrate today?

Between my co-host Ken Hayes and I, I'm the one that pays attention to fun things that happen with calendar numbers.  That's unusual since I don't do well with math and try to shy away from anything having to do with numbers.  It is a very significant day 11.12.13, the second last sequential date of the century.

This is a pretty cool concept.  Keith Urban is selling 2013 calendars with the net proceeds going to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.  The coolest part is all of the photographs were taken by fans at his concerts!

If you’re tired of starting every year wondering what day of the week your birthday will fall on or the exact date of Labor Day, two professors at Johns Hopkins University have your back. They’ve proposed a new calendar that would eradicate any such mystery.

What an awesome idea!  Re-creating WWII iconic photographs using local celebrities!!!  I am honored to be  part of this project and thank everyone involved for the opportunity to help raise funds for the Richard I.
