Brian Williams

I have always been a big fan of Brian Williams.  I thought he did a great job on the Nightly News.  I remember him from when he was just a reporter that would sit in with the legendary Tom Brokaw.  It really sucked when we found out that he had gotten caught up in his stories.  It's been tough to see his fall from grace.  NBC has given him a second chance, but not where he once was.

Since the beginning of the Brian Williams controversy, I've wondered how hard it must be on his family.  Williams, who was called out for false statements, has been suspended for 6 months while NBC investigates the anchor's work.  His daughter Allison who is probably best known for her starring role in 'Peter Pan Live!' was recently asked by Seth Meyers how they are doing.  Here is her response. Recently Jimmy Fallon brought up immigration, but rather than say a joke about it he decided it was a perfect opportunity for a new entry in his Slow Jam The News series.  Of course if you Slow Jam The News, you need Brian Williams.

That's what NBC news anchor Brian Williams is calling it.  Take a look at the video.   I don't think it's a great song, and she seems a bit lost, but it's also a unique style of music.  It doesn't make me want to rush out and see more, but past SNL performances by The Jonas Brothers and Ashlee Simpson quickly come to mind as being far worse.  What do you think?
