T.J. Maxx, Home Goods Keeping Mask Mandates In Place For Now
If you are planning a shopping outing in Duluth soon, you will want to make note of this.
Both T.J. Maxx and Home Goods have decided to keep their mask policy in place, despite a recent change in CDC guidelines which says that fully vaccinated people don't need to wear masks indoor anymore.
While many huge retailers have updated their mask policies, these two stores, which are owned by the same company, have decided they will continue requiring masks in stores for both customers and employees.
NBC reports, along with several other media outlets, that T.J. Maxx and Home Goods are keeping their mask mandate. The company's website still says that masks are required in stores for both employees and customers.
There is a T.J. Maxx location and a Home Goods location in the Burning Tree Plaza in Duluth so keep this in mind, even if you are fully vaccinated.
Many major businesses have made headlines recently for changing their face mask policy. For example, Walmart and Sam's Club have dropped their mask requirements. Home Depot and CVS are also just a few huge retailers that have dropped mask requirements for the fully vaccinated.
However, not all businesses are going the way of Home Depot and CVS. Caribou Coffee says that while they are not requiring masks in stores, they are still requesting that guests wear face masks while in stores. They also said employees would continue to do so. On the other hand, Starbucks announced they were dropping their face mask policy.
Both Minnesota and the city of Duluth lifted their mask requirements recently. However, it is up to the business if they want to continue to make customers wear masks in stores.
