The Dragon Boat festival is coming on Saturday, August 27 and has always been fun for the whole family.  While many are there to watch the rowers, there are other activities that even the youngest family members can enjoy.  Most of these activities usually exist because of local non-profit organizations and their volunteers.  Perhaps you and your family can give some time.

My friend Jodi has been a member of the Superior Kiwanis Club member for years. That organization has had the opportunity to host and interact in the Kids Activity tent at the Dragon Boat event for many years.  In the kids can take a break from watching the dragon boats and show off their creative talents doing arts and crafts.   It's always a huge success and wouldn't happen without community members donating their time in the tent.  The Superior Kiwanis Club is in search of volunteers for the to help in the Kid's activity tent. Volunteers are asked to donate 2 hours, however if you can't give two hours, they can work around your schedule.  You and your family, civic organizations, church groups, boy and girl scout groups or college clubs are all welcome.
