I've been saying it for years: people don't realize how beautiful and awesome the St. Louis River is. It's one of the best places to catch walleye in the world. There is wildlife everywhere, and it's right smack dab in the middle of the Twin Ports. If you haven't been on the St. Louis river, you're missing out.

Wildwoods Wildlife Rehabilitation recently shared a picture on their Facebook page of these bobcats sitting on a log. They mentioned it was taken by local photographer Mike Mayou with his drone on the St. Louis River. I had to find this video!

The bobcats naturally blend into the background, but you can see that there are three of them. The video was actually taken 2 years ago, but I didn't see it until it was shared today. We've also had a lot of bobcat sightings this year in West Duluth, so I think it's safe to say that they are still doing ok.

The cats were not camera-shy. Mike saw them from a distance and flew his drone in to get a closer look. They were so comfortable he was able to get some close shots.

When I first saw this photo I thought I was seeing triple. But nope, there are actually three bobcats there.

This video is getting a ton of views, and many people are asking where exactly the bobcats were seen. Mike is smart, saying he's not giving away the location because he doesn't want people to harass or disturb them in their habitat.

He also says this was unplanned and he kept his distance until the bobcats actually approached the drone. Talk about a curious cat! Pretty awesome. Mike sells prints of his photography on his website. Consider supporting a local photographer and check it out.

He also is generously donating 25% of his bobcat print sales to Wildwoods Rehab in Duluth. Well done Mike!
