There are lots of cool things to see and do around Minnesota, especially in the summertime. I was perusing the Airbnb Excursion page and found a unique experience that I want to try.

Some of the experiences on Airbnb are walk tours of cities (there's one for Minneapolis and one for St. Paul), there are cooking classes, and nature/outdoor classes. They all range in price, too.

Unique Experience on Bde Maka Ska in Minnesota

There's one experience that I found that really intrigued me, a yoga class on a stand-up paddleboard on Bde Maka Ska (which, by the way, is pronounced 'BaDAY-Ma-KA-Ska').

Doesn't that sound fun? But also, I'm pretty sure it'd be deceptively difficult.

If you've never been on a standup paddleboard, it's harder than it looks. It required good balance, core strength, and confidence. Definitely some confidence. I get the feeling that doing yoga on one of those suckers would REALLY work your core and balance.

The class is hosted by a woman named Jennifer. She's a "certified yoga instructor and owner of The Yoga Center Retreat" according to her Airbnb.

My favorite part of her description of the practice, and probably a lot of people's favorite, is at the end when you do the savasana pose. Jennifer says, "Savasana (a yogi nap) will follow the [practice], where you'll lie down on your board and find inner stillness while gently swaying on top of the water." That sounds so relaxing!

If you're interested in her class, tickets are $45 per person and that includes the board you'll use for the class. No, you're not allowed to bring your own board.
