Share Your Thoughts on the Future Use of Energy in Duluth at the Kick-off to LEAP [Local Energy Action Plan]
The City of Duluth is seeking input from YOU. Here's your chance to speak up on the use of energy in our City. Everyone is welcome, whether you're a resident, or represent a business or an organization. You are encouraged to attend a kick-off meeting of the Community-wide Local Energy Action Plan (“LEAP”) Energy Visioning Public Engagement Session.
The public meeting will be held next Monday, September 17, on the Lake Superior College campus from 6:30 p.m.to 8:00 p.m., building S, Room 2964. You'll learn about the Duluth LEAP planning process, hear updates on past/current energy projects and progress, learn how to get involved, and share specific thoughts on the future of energy in Duluth as the Energy Leadership Team forms a guiding vision for the plan.
The overall goal for developing and implementing the Community-wide Local Energy Action Plan is to move Duluth toward becoming a more prosperous community with a more secure and vibrant economy.
During the meeting, Duluth’s LEAP will be developed using a community-based engagement process and will identify short and long term goals, strategies, and actions for four energy sectors; Residential, Commercial & Industrial, Public (local, area county and state government units, schools and higher education) and Transportation.
