It seems that Minnesota has been killing it lately, especially for those that love Halloween, as the state was just named one of the very best for trick-or-treating in the country this year.

On the other hand, Minnesota was also named one of the least haunted states in the country. This is either great or upsetting depending on how much you love spooky things. Ha!

WalletHub Names The Most & Least Energy-Efficient States In 2025
WalletHub released this study on Tuesday (October 14th), ranking all the states from most to least energy efficient. Ope! In this one, they only looked at two different things: home energy efficiency and auto energy efficiency.

This is pretty straight-forward, with analysts looking at residential energy consumption per capita. They also looked at how many miles there are driven a year, gallons of gas consumed and the like.
WalletHub Names Minnesota One Of The Most Energy-Efficient States
Yes, Minnesota! Minnesota was named the ninth most energy-efficient state in the country. Minnesota came in seventh when it comes to home energy efficiency, which is pretty great when you look at the rest of the country.

As for the most energy-efficient state? That would be Vermont, followed by California, Washington and New York. Wisconsin also did well here, coming in at number twelve. Way to go!
