Science Night at UWS Is Friday and It’s Free Family Fun

Finding fun things for the family to do can be a challenge, especially this time of year.  Finding free things to do poses an even greater challenge.  Luckily, the Students of Science at UWS have a great, free family event lined up this week to help you out.

This Friday, April 8, is Science Night at the University of Wisconsin - Superior.  The event promises "opportunities to interact with nature and science while learning and having fun!".

Displays this year include live fish from the Brule Fish Hatchery, live animals from the Lake Superior Zoo, Chemistry Show, Physics Lab, Monarch Butterflies, and and Agate Hunt. The keynote speaker will be the Raptor Education Group with live raptors.

Science Night is from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. with activities taking place in Barstow Hall and Swenson Hall.

Having recently visited the Adventure Science Museum in Nashville, I can confirm that kids love to get involved while learning about science.  I'm sure the kids will get a kick out of this as well.
