Scholarships Available for Summer 4-H Camps in Wisconsin
Without the Laveau Family in Wrenshall, I would never have experienced 4-H. THANK YOU! It's such a great program for kids to gain knowledge in so many areas of interest and even introduce them to new hobbies! All camp activities are planned and supervised and will give your child a lifetime of memories. If you qualify there is even busing and scholarships available. Trust me, 4-H camp can make this summer the best and registration is open now!
It's the 4-H Gateway Academy Summer Science & Engineering Day Camp and 4-H Junior Camp.
4-H Junior Camp is for children ages 8-13 as of June 21, 2013 at Leisure Lake Youth Camp near Trego, WI. Just think, kids can make new friends and experience educational and fun-filled activities. The camp theme is the Open Range. Other activities youth will participate in are canoeing, swimming, art projects, environmental education, games, fishing, team activities, and campfires. Camp is $35 for 4-H members or $40 for non-members ($5 for 4-H membership). There is a $15 non-refundable deposit. Registration are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Camp fees include all meals, activities, lodging, snacks, and a camp t-shirt.
Or, you may wish to register for the 4-H Gateway Academy. It's a co-ed science and engineering day camp that provides fun and challenging projects for youth currently in grades 6-8. Students who register will experience five days of intense, fast-paced, hands-on learning at Superior High School (SHS). Academy teachers include SHS Project Lead the Way teacher Jesse Samarziya and Tyler Ross. Students will work in teams to design and build engineering projects and learn about careers in science and engineering. The camp will be offered at Superior High School, weekdays from July 8 – July 12, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. Busing is available in the morning only to Superior School District students who qualify. Cost is $50 and space is limited. Scholarships are available.
