A scary incident happened in Minnesota when a family of four was driving and collided with a moose who crashed through the windshield on Highway 53.

This isn't the first time a moose was spotted in Minnesota, and it definitely won't be the last. This past January four moose were spotted crossing the road and were captured in the most Minnesota sounding video ever. Check out that video below:

There was also a bizarre warning posted about moose this past winter as well. Howling for Moose Minnesota shared the warning on their Facebook page about not letting moose lick your car:

A moose is the largest member of the deer family and can get up to an average of 1,000 pounds, according to the DNR. In an article from the DNT, the state's moose population was about 3,150 in 2020 which is a continuation of a low population over the last several years.

According to WDIO, the scary incident happened late Saturday night. A family was driving and collided with a moose that went through their windshield. The news station also reported that Cotton ambulances responded to the scene. Both the driver and his wife were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to KSMP, the driver was a 40 year-old man driving his 1987 Mustang. His passengers were his 37 year-old wife, and their two sons who are 7 and 8. No word on how injured the moose was.

How scary, and I couldn't imagine colliding with a moose on the highway. Thankfully the family is alright.
