Sam Hunt Debuts ‘Downtown’s Dead’ – Was It Worth The Wait? [REVIEW]
It's been 15 months - yes, over a year - since Sam Hunt released any new music. His last song came out in February of 2017!
In his defense, he had a lot to live up to. His last single was one of the biggest songs of the year. 'Body Like A Back Road' went on to win ACM Single Record Of The Year at the ACM Awards last month, snagged two Grammy nominations and went four times platinum.
Now it seems he's ready to keep it moving. The country star finally dropped a new single Wednesday morning (after less than 48 hours that new music was coming, no less.)
'Downtown's Dead' is officially out for our listening pleasure! The song is about a girl who was the life of the party. The two went their separate ways and this song paints the picture of how different things are without her.

By the way - there is no word on whether or not this will be part of an upcoming album or if it's just another single track. Hunt has hinted lately that his music career is no longer his first priority.
One thing is for sure though - Hunt will be in Minneapolis July 21st along with newcomer Morgan Wallen, Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan.
