Sabra has voluntarily recalled some of it's hummus products after a possible salmonella contamination. The recalled products are 10 ounce Classic Hummus. It was discovered in a routine screening of a single tub by the FDA, as they announced in a press release.  

The recall is for packages with a 1 SKU of 10 oz Classic Hummus with a produced on Friday, February 10, 2021 between the hours of 6pm and midnight with a best before date of April 26. No other products from Sabra are included in this recall, and the FDA also says that no illnesses or consumer complaints have been reported in this incident.

The affected hummus was distributed to Wisconsin, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana, Mississippi, Main, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, New Jersey, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.

Eating Salmonella contaminated food can cause salmonellosis which is an illness that has symptoms of diarrhea, cramping, and fever. It can occur between 12 hours and 72 hours of consumption. Most of the time people can recover without treatment, but it get also lead to severe cases with hospitalization.
