Rhino Demo Team Returns To Minnesota Airshow For First Time In 8 Years
Mark your calendars for the Duluth Airshow coming even earlier this year! The largest airshow in Minnesota will be back at the Duluth International Airport May 18-19, 2024.
The main attraction this year is the Air Force Thunderbirds with their F-16s.
Organizers of the air show are also excited to announce that the F-18 Super Hornet "Rhino" Demo team will be returning this year. The Rhino Demo team showcases the versatility, agility, speed, and awesomeness of the F/A - 18 Super Hornet.
The F/A Super Hornet is the key aircraft for the US Navy, offering fleet air defense, strike capabilities, and close air support. The Super Hornet is 25% larger than it's predecessors, the F-18 C/D Hornet. It has a longer range, more endurance, and increased weapons capabilities.
The Rhino Demo Team announced their 2024 Schedule on Facebook earlier this week.
Static Displays Update From Duluth Air + Aviation Expo
More static displays are set to arrive at the Duluth Air and Aviation Expo. These displays are parked along the hanger areas for people to see up close. The KC-46 Refueling Tanker plane will be there this year. It's massive!
The crowd favorite A-10 Warthog will return again this year to the show. This is a plane that was built around a massive cannon. It's been dubbed the "tankbuster."
