Potential Of Significant Snowfall Targeting The Region Late This Week
Just in time for opening weekend for Bentleyville, Mother Nature is looking to bring some potentially significant snow to the region. The National Weather Service is watching a potential heavy snowfall event that could bring 6 or more inches of snow to some areas around the region.
With the system still being several days away, an exact target area, timeline, and snowfall forecast are not very clear yet. As of right now, it looks like this system will impact the region Friday and Saturday with most of Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin facing a chance of snow and potentially heavy snow. The Minnesota Arrowhead and Northeastern Wisconsin are looking at the best chance of some heavy snow at this time.
While it would make things festive, this storm could impact two big holiday events slated for this weekend. The Christmas City of the North parade is Friday night, and Bentleyville opens for the season on Saturday.
As with any snowstorm, especially early and late in the season, even slight changes in any number of factors could drastically change the outcome of a forecasted storm. As we move through the week and the path and impacts of this storm become more clear, we'll keep you updated.
