Snowfall Totals Across Duluth Area April 3rd + 4th
And another one! It is not a late prank for April Fools. We truly got multiple rounds of snow in the Northland last week and into the weekend. Sigh.
We saw snow late in the week before we got a bit of a lull on Friday (April 3rd). However, local meteorologists were forecasting another storm late that night and into Saturday. This has been quite the winter.

We saw a moderate amount of snow late in the week, with up to eight inches in some spots. It made travel tricky at times but otherwise, we have definitely seen worse this winter!
So what about the second storm system? I checked out snow totals courtesy of the National Weather Service to see how much snow fell across the area to kick off the weekend. Let's take a look.
Snow Totals From April 3rd & 4th Across Northern Minnesota
It sort of feels like I will be writing something like this even a month from now. This has been a never-ending winter. Ha! So how much snow fell in our neck of the woods?

It definitely wasn't as much as I thought it would be. It was just enough to make roads a bit slippery but overall, it wasn't that bad!
Chaffey: 5 inches
Duluth: 4 inches
Wright: 3.7 inches
Lester Park: 2.9 inches
Floodwood: 2.7 inches
Fon Du Lac: 2.3 inches
Maple: 2.2 inches

Despite some flurries early today (April 6th) to kick off the week, we should be in for a mild day. However, tonight it is going to be cold! We will see a forecast low near just 5 degrees, according to NWS Duluth.

That is dangerously close to the near record low of two degrees that was set back in 1936! If it is not one thing, it's another. I would rather have a little snow than cold temperatures this far into the year.
