Another sign that the Northland may actually enjoy a summer this year?  The Park Point Beach is set to officially open to the public on Wednesday, June 11.

KBJR-TV is reporting that the Duluth Area YMCA are providing lifeguards at the beach from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, depending on the weather.  Life jackets will also be available at the Park Point Beach House, courtesy of US Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Lake Superior can be a lot of fun, but it can also be dangerous so make sure to check for flag warnings before you hit the beach.
