Can you believe it's been so nice this far into the year? I can't remember the last time that we had eighties in the forecast for the first week of the October! I'm not complaining.

While October is known for being the start of spooky season, the weather has been anything but spooky, with sunshine and warmer-than-usual temperatures for this time of the year - so far.

We still have the whole month ahead of us, and one weather analyst thinks that we will see our first inch of accumulating snow this month. However, there hasn't been mention of a big snowstorm - until now.

Don't panic just yet. The Old Farmer's Almanac just released their November outlook for Minnesota and Wisconsin and the word 'snowstorm' is involved. Let's take a closer look.

Old Farmer's Almanac Shares November Outlook

According to their outlook, it will be a pretty snowy month for our region. The first five days of the month will be snowy, with a mid-month break in the snow. Snow does return in the middle of the month and continues until the very end.

The Old Farmer's Almanac does make longterm weather predictions by region using their somewhat secret methodology, and that means not everyone believes in what they dish out each month. This is one I don't want to believe.

Old Farmer's Almanac Predicts First 'Snowstorm' For November

From November 24th through the 26th, we will see snow and even the possibility of a snowstorm for the eastern part of our region! Those that don't see the snowstorm will see flurries and very cold temperatures.

For reference, our region includes most of Minnesota and the northern half of Wisconsin, along with the easternmost parts of North and South Dakota. It does include Duluth and Superior so buckle up!

Of course, we will have to wait and see if this outlook comes true. I'd be fine not having a snowstorm in November but....this is Minnesota after all.
