For many cities all over the U.S. food trucks are a staple everywhere, but in Duluth they are slowly but surely becoming more popular. Except for one food truck that has been around for years Oasis Del Norte or "Oasis of the North." Owner Eduardo Sandoval Luna says his food is one way to bring a little bit of Mexico to Duluth.

Eduardo grew up working for his Mom in her restaurant in Mexico and brought her recipes here with him to share his culture and for you to experience where he is from through his food. Everything on the menu is homemade and locally sourced when possible.

Luna has a full schedule of where his truck will be parked at and at what times. Today he is in front of Duluth Cider from 11am-7:30pm. With the pandemic still raging on what could be better than stopping at a local food truck, finding a nice park bench somewhere and enjoy your meal outdoors.

For some residents who are in a food desert and/or have limited transportation these food trucks are a great addition to the neighborhood even if it is for a day here and there. I for one would love to see more food trucks out and about giving people in this area a variety of things to eat all while supporting a local business in the process.
