A Favorite For Comfort Food Now Ranks As The Best Food Truck In Wisconsin
When I was growing up, the only places I remember seeing food trucks were at a county fair or festival, but we all know that you no longer have to look that hard to find a food truck in Wisconsin.
According to experts, food trucks experienced a notable surge in popularity, often referred to as the "food truck revolution," starting in 2008. Coincidentally, this was also during the Great Recession, when chefs and culinary enthusiasts sought affordable and flexible alternatives to brick-and-mortar restaurants.
The popularity of social media has also played a crucial role, as people are more than happy to share their food truck experiences, allowing food truck vendors to conveniently promote their businesses and share locations with a wider audience.
Food trucks in Wisconsin remain popular, with many operating regularly throughout the state and not just at fairs, festivals, and special events. You'll often see them in business parking lots during peak times, downtown areas, and more.
The "food truck revolution" inspired a group to conduct a study to find the best food truck in every state. That tiring, but delicious task has been completed.
The Best Food Truck In Wisconsin
To find the best food trucks in every state, the foodies at LoveFood went through a seemingly endless amount of genuine customer reviews, while also checking for other awards and accolades. Of course, the first-hand experience of their team also played an important role.

Unlike other states, when it came to the best food truck in Wisconsin, it isn't one that specializes in Neopolitan pizzas, tacos, or smash burgers. Instead, this popular business specializes in a comfort food that is popular for breakfast, but can easily be enjoyed at any time of the day.
The best food truck in Wisconsin was determined to be Press. Waffles, which has been operating out of the Milwaukee area since 2015.
Press. Waffles boasts on its website that its brioche-based dough is made locally by hand from its traditional recipe, with roots dating back to the 1700s.
As the waffles cook, "the Belgian pearl sugar in the dough caramelizes on the outside and leaves sweet pockets on the inside." Then a dusting of powdered sugar, or one of its amazing house-made toppings, is added to make a perfect Belgian waffle experience.

The menu includes basic toppings like powdered sugar, whipped cream and sprinkles, Nutella, and more. But, there are also savory topping options available like Peanut Butter Cream + Candied Bacon + Banana, Honey Goat Cheese + Chutney, and more.
The team at LoveFood noted that there are only good reviews for Press. Waffles, which also offers its frozen, toaster-size waffles at local grocery stores.
If you want to try these delicious gourmet Belgian waffles, one place you're sure to find them is every Saturday through October 25 at Bay View’s South Shore Farmers Market. They'll be located just inside the park near the intersection of Superior and Trowbridge. The market runs from 8:00 am to Noon.
You can check the Press. Waffles' website to find out where else they'll be, and catering is also available.
