How The Old Farmer’s Almanac Sees June Shaping Up In Duluth

Summer is finally here! I was anxious to say that at first because it was one of the longest winter and spring seasons I have ever come across in my nearly ten years in Duluth. Winter really went on forever.

Now, I think it is safe to say that winter and spring are both behind us. At the time of writing Wednesday afternoon (May 3rd), we are expecting low 80s in Duluth and across the Northland.

I realized that I stopped looking at the Old Farmer's Almanac because I didn't like what it had to say. Even though I am not entirely sure I believe in the way they do things 100 percent, I still like to look for fun.

Now that we should have smooth sailing ahead, I took a look at their predictions for our region for the month ahead. I think you will like it.

Old Farmer's Almanac Reveals June Forecast For The Northland

According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, it will be a warm and rainy month ahead. I personally love rainy days and so I don't mind this one bit. We will still get that summertime feel with warm temperatures.

For the first week of the month, we can expect heavy rain and storms. We will also see warm temperatures. That is exactly what local meteorologists are forecasting for the week ahead so this one checks out.

As for the rest of the month, it looks like we will see rainy periods dominating until the last week of the month. We will also see cool periods before things turn warm again near the middle of the month.

As for the last week of the month, that's when sunshine returns along with hot temperatures. That is dangerously close to Grandma's Marathon so I hope that the heat doesn't arrive a few days earlier than planned.

As always, we have to take their forecasts with a grain of salt. I wouldn't mind if these predictions came true this month, though. As long as we don't have a hot Grandma's Marathon weekend, I am on board. I'd even take rain over the heat!
