Northland Heroin Overdose Sparks Petition for Harsher Penalties for Drug Dealers

Jazzelle Lee Marie died from a heroin overdose in February of this year.  She left behind a 2 year old son, and many broken hearts in the community.  It is such a tragic and sad story that unfortunately happens often with heroin use.

A lot of people think that this couldn't happen to them or anyone they know, but heroin has become a major issue, affecting all different demographics.  Kids who seem to come from the perfect homes surprisingly become victims as well.

Because of Jazz's death and the growing heroin problem, a Change.org petition has been started that asks lawmakers to charge arrested heroin dealers with attempted murder.  You can view the petition and sign it if you wish online.
