Who would have ever thought we would be dealing with such frightening statistics of people 20-40 dying at an alarming rate? Wisconsin is seeing this pattern right now.

The Minnesota Department of Health wants to get the word out on how to more easily find Narcan if someone overdoses in Minnesota.

There's been a large drug bust in Minnesota and it is unclear if the pills recovered may have to do with a spike in opioid related deaths in some communities.

I happened to stumble on this YouTube video that shows what police officers are trained to do to save lives.

Recently CNN posted pictures of a couple passed out from a drug overdose with a child in the back seat. I thought to myself, this is a great example to kids not to get involved with drugs, and yet this video takes the cake for me. This is the saddest thing I've ever seen.

This is pretty chilling to watch.  A TV station in West Virginia recently did a story on the heroin epidemic that's hitting this country.  It shows a unique point of view from what the EMTs see when they arrive on scene.

Back in May of 2013 there was an unusual amount of drug overdoses. At that time the Duluth Police Department had thought it was due to the illegal use of heroin based on info obtained at the scene.  Now a warning has gone out about opioid and here's why.

Jazzelle Lee Marie died from a heroin overdose in February of this year.  She left behind a 2 year old son, and many broken hearts in the community.  It is such a tragic and sad story that unfortunately happens often with heroin use.

I stumbled on to this on cnn, and it was too unbelievable not to share.  We heard about the guy high on bath salts that was eating his friends face in Miami, and now you can see the effects in real life.  It's pretty disturbing.  The man, Freddy Sharp, describes what it was like to experience the "evil" and "impending doom."
